Sunday morning, 19 February, started off with adverse weather and predictions for heavy rains later in the day. Not ideal conditions for enthusiasts to bring their beloved cars out for a run but, in true patriotic fashion, the breakfast run was supported 100% and we had a full turnout.
Many special cars were brought out to stretch their legs for the day. Naming but a few: 3.0 CSi, 635CSi, 740i, M3, M Coupe, M5 and some of the latest 335i, 340i and M4 variants and many other magnificent cars.
Cedar Isle Auto welcomed the guests and the outstanding hospitality of their staff confirmed why they are a most amazing dealership. Thank you to Piet and all at Cedar Isle Auto for the coffee and muffins which were replenished all the time.
Hannah Withers assisted with registration and ensured that everyone received the directions to the breakfast venue.
Departure was promptly at 09H00 with horse-power and fuel filled adrenaline being unleased by the brave and daring en-route.
Stonehaven’s River Terrace was perfectly set up with table décor in the BMW colours and a scrumptious buffet breakfast awaited the guests upon arrival. We were delighted to have special guests, Claudia Heubner (BMW classic Munich, Germany) and Daniel Wako (BMW Kenya) join us for the morning. The winners of the Cedar Isle “lucky draw” were: Jason Brink, Leanne Withers and Esther Kuebler. Congratulations!!
Thank you Piet and your team for the generous prizes, it is greatly appreciated!
The weather smiled upon us and granted the children a sunny day during which they played in the swimming pool and in the magnificent gardens. A light shower brought them indoors around 14H00 for lunch.
The last guests departed around 16H00 for a slow drive home. Thank you for making the day so special.
Hope to see you at our next Club event: Zwartkops Trackday on the 5th March
