On 24th November 2018, the BMW Car Club Gauteng kicked off the year end lunch run with our first Saturday Lunch run.
Our sponsor for the day was Cedar Isle Auto, and club members gathered early at the dealership in Fourways. Cedar Isle Auto had invited us to join in their year-end charity drive and bring a toy for their chosen charity, the East Rand Children’s Home.
Among the classic cars driven by our club members were a 1957 Isetta 300, a unique e92 M3 bakkie, an E34 M5, an e36 M3 and a number of E46 M3’s.
Club members enjoyed coffee and wandered around the dealership looking at the new models which Cedar Ilse had on offer. A highlight was a quick look at the new BMW X5 which was newly launched and will be on our roads soon.
After we had had a snack of Prego rolls and coldrinks, we bid our farewell and made our way to The Black Horse Estate in Magaliesburg. The venue is a firm favourite with the club and we were welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff. Whilst enjoying the bespoke offerings from the onsite Brewery and Distillery, we enjoyed a hearty lunch of various pizzas, beef and pulled pork sliders and a delicious new addition from the kitchen - Spinach and Feta Spanakopita.
The children then enjoyed a swim in the pool and enjoyed ice creams for desert. We all chatted, shared stories and laughs until the relaxed day ended and we all left for home.
Thank you all for joining us and all the best to you and your loved ones over this festive season.
